flyLAL Charters becomes Small Planet Airlines

Lithuanian charter airline flyLAL Charters has changed its trade mark to Small Planet Airlines.

"The main reason for the change is the geographic expansion and the formation of a strategic business direction. We started with two planes flying only from Vilnius in 2008 and now we operate flights from four European Union member states, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia and Italy. Vilnius became only one of our four bases, and already at the end of this year, there will be more our planes flying from Italy than Lithuania. Our old trade mark was inconsistent with the international development trend anymore, thus it was decided to change it," says Small Planet Airlines CEO Vytautas Kaikaris.

The company head emphasises that Small Planet Airlines continues to be a charter airline which operates flights in cooperation with tour operators or other companies.

The airline Small Planet Airlines is owned by the aviation services group Avia Solution Group.
