Style of the hotel and ambience

Each of Angleterre Hotel’s 188 bedrooms and five suites were designed by Olga Polizzi and decorated in a style that combines the classic and the contemporary, brilliantly blending Russian and European furniture and accessories. In soft, gentle colour schemes, with sumptuously generous beds, linens from the Volga and spacious marble bathrooms, every room promises comfort, relaxation and a great night’s sleep.
Many rooms overlook St Isaac’s Square, with the best views in the city, whilst some overlook the hotel’s courtyard garden with the domes of St Isaac’s Cathedral framing the skyline.

A choice of four meeting rooms and the Conference Hall makes Angleterre Hotel the perfect venue for a business event, whatever its size, and discreet but attentive service will make sure it is a success.

Restaurants and other facilities
The philosophy at Angleterre Hotel is to provide the very highest standards for our guests, and no more so than in the quality of our cuisine. Stefano Balduccio, the new chef at Borsalino, presents his menu of classical Italian cooking and guests now have the opportunity to try traditional dishes from more than ten Italian provinces, including Piedmont, Umbria, Naples, Sicily, Sardinia, Genoa and Palermo.
A true Italian dish, Stefano believes, is classical, simple, and for the recipe to be authentic, has to be cooked strictly according to its regional origin, right down to the use of ingredients from that particular region. Food lovers can enjoy Fillet of Swordfish alla Siciliana, Insalata Toscana, Veal Milanese and for dessert, Cannoli and Cassata.
In the evenings, from 8pm till 1am, our resident singer performs jazz and the blues.

The Fitness Centre offers guests a luxurious opportunity to relax and wind down after an exhausting day touring the city.
Set out over two levels, the gym is fully equipped with top-of-the-range Techno Gym aerobic machines. Take a dip in the small swimming pool, and experience the fragrant pine wood of the sauna before enjoying a refreshing drink from the minibar. Relaxing massages are available by prior arrangement.
