Half day trip to Sculpture park of Centre Europe

Detail description

Open Air Museum of the Center of Europe, officially named EUROPOS PARKAS, is a great outdoor sculpture park located 20 km from Vilnius in the picturesque surroundings of Vilnius's outskirts. The Museum is owned and managed by well-known Lithuanian sculptor Gintaras Karosas. The Park's name was inspired by the Geographical Center of Europe, located just 15 kilometers from the Museum. The Park is an exclusive outdoor exposition of Lithuanian and foreign sculptors. Most sculptures are created for the Park and are permanently exhibited amidst rolling hills and woodlands dotted with ponds and natural springs. In addition, the exposition is constantly updated by artists from Lithuania and worldwide (Japan, USA, Ireland, Greece, UK, Hungary, etc.) who come here to contribute their creations to the Park. The result is a collection of over 50 sculptures, s including those created by M. Abakonowitz, D. Oppenheim, and Sol de Witt.
You will enjoy walking in the woods, admiring artifacts from classic sculptures to avant-garde creations. If tired, you can order coffee or full meals at the museum cafe, buy unique souvenirs and send your postcard from the local post office.
