Once the capital of the largest country in Europe Vilnius by today preserved large part of it’s heritage in Gothic street plan, baroque churches, noblemen palaces and the city is still comfortable and convenient for traveler to walk and enjoy being among the locals. You can visit Trakai just 30 kilometers from Vilnius with one of the largest insular castles in Europe. And in Trakai apart from visiting museums you can rent boats, yachts, bikes or walk around the lakes and ancient town.
